Recently, Dynamis' representatives extensively interviewed each Board member of a hospital system concerning strengths and weakness, threats and opportunities confronting the Board and its various hospital subsidiaries. Thereafter, we conducted a day-long workshop to analyze the Board's processes and structure and suggested changes and improvements in the governing process to meet rapidly changing marketplace conditions. We followed this up with meetings with the Board's leadership, legal counsel, management and the Strategic Planning Committee to put into place new methods of communication between management and the Board and designed an annual Board calendar for distribution of necessary information and decision making timetables.
For another client, Dynamis worked with a Board's Governance Committee to analyze Board competences, skill sets, structure, decision making, succession planning and education. We helped the Governance Committee thereafter to craft a new meaningful and streamlined decision making process between numerous hospital Boards and the System Board.
